Beach Walks

Leave the rail station car park by the left exit down Main street, in 100m go left through the iron arch into the Glen, go through the park past the football ground going right across the burn and left along the path through the trees to the end of the Glen then downhill to the main Ardrossan road, cross left past the old mill and onto the beach, go right along the beach with wonderfull views across to Arran and along the beach toward Fort Hill.
If the tide is low you may be lucky enough to see seals on the rocks offshore and along the shoreline is great for bird spottingif you are early.
The short walk crosses the golf course after half a kilometre, on the far side after a short track go left along a pleasant lane and right on the road at the far end.
The medium walk crosses the golf course a further half kilometre beyond where the short walk crosses.
The long walk goes round the end of the golf course.
All the walks return up the road (B7048) over the crossroad up to the town, at the roundabout go down St Bride Rd back to the station.
