This link provides a relatively easy connection between two of the walking areas and allows extensions to the described walks.
The connection starts from the exit road from Blackshaw farm on the B781, go directy across the road into a field cross it diagonally left, initially on a track, over a muddy ditch to a gate at the edge of the moor, go through the gate and follow a sometimes faint sometimes muddy track along to the access gate above Crosbie reservior.
Reversing the direction of travel the exit gate from the moor toward Blackshaw is after a rough section of path through heather and away from the wall, it is possible to leave the moor at the earlier gate going down the left side (east) of a ridge then left 300m along the B grade road to Blackshaw farm entrance. |
